As stated can we? As long as they don’t call the school to check?
No.
Can u explain?
It’s not worth getting caught.
It’s not a huge “plus” to add those things.
Well that sounds fraudulent or at the very least immoral to me. Lying like that makes you a terrible person taking opportunities from other people who deserve them more. Make it on your actual credentials ffs.
You can, no one is stopping you, but it is a stupid thing to lie about for a few reasons. First, more then half of kids are apart of NHS, or have the grades to be apart of it if they want to. So its not like your standing out. Second why do that to yourself? Why add the stress of getting caught to the mass amount of stress you already have with college apps? Putting NHS on your app wont really help you.
also the moral aspect that not telling the truth is bad character.
Don’t do it. Colleges can rescind acceptances if they catch you knowingly lying on a college app. In fact, colleges have even taken away degrees for more serious offenses.
No one gives a darn about NHS membership. It is pretty meaningless as ECs go. CSF isn’t going to carry a lot of weight, either. You shouldn’t lie about anything on your app. But these would be particularly dumb to put your future at risk for.
They can deny you. They can accept you and then take it back. They can make you repay financial aid. They can take back your degree.
Is that worth two rinky-dink bullet points on a resume?
The chances of being caught are low, but the chances of random honor societies changing your application status from “rejected” to “accepted” are even lower.
Are you seriously thinking about applying to West Point and lying on your app? You’re kidding, right?
Pointless lie (colleges don’t care, those are trinkets for highschool kids) that can come back any time to bite you, making you lose your acceptance.

Closing thread as I can’t imagine that there is anything left, or different, to say… Every response has said some version of the same thing. That should be enough responses for the OP
