Can You Apply EA (Nov.1), Be Defered, Take the SAT on DEC 5, and Use that for the RD

<p>So basically I'm applying to a school with the average SAT score about 200 points higher (3 sections combined) than mine. </p>

<p>However I was wondering if I can apply EA (Nov. 1 Deadline), then if they are kind enough to not deny me, but defer me and put me to the RD pile, but during that time take the Dec. 5 SAT and send that score in (hopefully being higher), for when they consider me during RD......</p>

<p>It might depend on individual school policy, but I know that MIT allows deferred EA applicants to send new December/January SAT scores.</p>

<p>When you’re deferred, you then go by the RD deadline. So if the Dec SAT is OK for RD, then you can submit it.</p>
