can you apply to MBA/Business Masters as CS undergrad?

can you apply to MBA/Business Masters as CS undergrad?

what if i obtain CS undergraduate degree and apply for MBA/business masters ? do i stand a chance, will it decrease my admission chances?

@MYOS1634 im taggin you cause you usually reply my threads :smiley:

You can apply to MBA programs with any undergrad degree. My H went to Wharton grad and had classmates who did a wide variety of things – including (but not limited to) an opera singer, a fighter pilot, engineer, computer programmers, and a variety of of liberal arts and business majors.

You don’t need a business degree to get into an MBA, you need serious professional experience. CS is actually quite welcome at top MBA programs as long as the applicant has top grades and professional experience. (2 years minimum)

@MYOS1634 another one :smiley: whats main difference between mba and masters in business?

I know I’m not @MYOS1634 – but it is the same thing. MBA = Master in Business Administration.

One can get other types of Masters degree in business such as a MS (Master of Science), MACC (Master in Accounting) etc.

@happy1 lol thank you :smiley:

@happy1 @MYOS1634 btw can you do other way around? business as undergrad diploma and computer science masters? or its impossible ;D?

That is not possible. An MBA is an addition to another degree, which it completes with advanced professional skills, generally to move to an upper management / executive position.
For any graduate work (unlike any Professional degrees such as MBZ, Law, medicine) you need an undergraduate degree in that subject.

I don’t know the answer for certain. You would have to research what, if any, prerequisites would be required to get into a Master’s degree in computer science program.
