Can you buy your books online?

and pick them up once you get to school? thanks.

Just wondering..when do the books usually ship out? I heard a month before the quarter starts, could someone verify that?

I just recently discovered the wonderfulness for buying books on ebay. I bought a book for one of my fall classes for $30 from ebay, while the ucla store is selling it for $115 used.

<a href="http://www.half.com%5B/url%5D">www.half.com</a> is well known by many students.

how do we know what books our professors are gonna want/use?

Go to the UCLA online textbook store. Click the button "Find your textbooks" and sign in with your SID# and password. Then you'll get a list of the books of books that the class "should" use.

If the book doesn't show online, then your professor will tell you what books you should get.

in general, is it okay to get a book by a different publisher than listed?

^You have to ask your professor. <a href="http://www.directory.ucla.edu%5B/url%5D">http://www.directory.ucla.edu</a>
