Can you cancel the admission after you pay ECD?

<p>The schools ask for Enrollment Commitment Deposit when you get admitted to their schools.</p>

<p>I got admitted to my 2nd-choice university and they asked me to send in the deposit by may 1st or else my space will not be guaranteed.</p>

<p>My 1st-choice university will start to send out the letter of acceptance on May 1st.</p>

<p>I have paid the deposit to my 2nd-choice university because I didn't want to risk my space.</p>

<p>Now, I got into my 1st-choice university and would like to go with this one.</p>

<p>Can I cancel my admission to the 2nd-choice university that I already sent in the Intent to Register form along with my deposit?</p>

<p>I really want to attend my 1st-choice university and any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you!</p>

<p>Generally, you can cancel your admission at a school after May 1 but you usually lose your deposit.</p>

<p>You can do it, but will lose the deposit and if you do it do it quick so someone else can get off waitlist possibly</p>
