Can you chance me for top prep schools?

Hi, I'm an eight grader who applied to Exeter, Andover, Lville, Deerfield, Choate, and Hotchkiss. I know all of these schools are extremely hard to get in to, but my parents said that either I get accepted into these schools, or go to my current school. Anyways, I just wanted to know whether I am a considerable candidate for these schools or not.

I am an Asian-American (Indian)

My grades are the following:
Science: A+
English (Accelarated, which is the highest): A+
Math (Geometry, which is also the highest): A (Worried about this)
Social Studies: A+
French: A+
Art: A+

I am in Odyssey of the Mind, and went to Worlds last year, and perhaps even this year.
I am in French Club, but that is just a cooking club I took up for fun.
I have been playing basketball for two years, and am okay at it, although I haven't tried out on a team.
Played tennis for three years, but not on a team, or in any major competions.
Swimming for seven years, but not on a team, although I'm really good.
Won Celebrating Art art contest.

SSAT score of 98 percentile overall.

I am very passionate about art and I absolutely love to read, which I hope they saw in my interviews and essays.

The interviews went great.
The essays were really good, and I think. The recs are too, as I maintain good relationships with my teachers.

Also, my first cousin once removed (my great-aunts son) went to Exeter, so I don't know if that helps at all.

Finally, I will not be needing financial aid.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I really hope I don't come across as pretentious or snobby. I am extremely sorry if I do. I just wanted to get an idea of my chances.

Oh, and I live in a suburb in NJ.

Why are you worried about an A in geometry?

Sorry, I meant to put A- in Geometry.

do you live in India. What part of India are you from

I was born and raised in the US (residing currently in NJ), but my parents are originally from Andhra Pradesh.

I don’t think A- in geometry will be a big negative. Your SSAT scores and GPA are consistent, meaning that your grades are not inflated. That you are free, meaning in admission terms that you don’t need an FA, is also a plus.

If you had Chinese/Korean background, your competition would have been more intense than others. Since you have an Indian background, I am not sure how it affects you. I don’t think Indians/Indian-Americans are considered a big ORM. (slightly toward an ORM??, this I am not sure. But definitely it will not be like Chinese/Korean pools)

I hope your passion for art was very well promoted during your interviews. Good luck to you.

Cool I am from Punjab… On the other side…

REPOSTED FROM ANOTHER THREAD

Ok, current Exeter student here.

I’ve realized that chancing is pointless. It just is. Looking at the kids who are in my class this year, I see that the majority of them are not the brilliant geniuses advertised on College Confidential. Really. So, just wait and forget. Live your life. Sleep. Because you want to stock up on that precious thing called sleep if you plan on going to boarding schools.

You will never ever know whether you will get in until March 10th, around 6:00 am, as I recall.

Well, unless you’re my classmate, whose dad donated close to a million dollars, give or take, to the school. I don’t think he needed a chance me.

^ what about all those USAMOers
