I only have taken 2 AP tests.
I got a 3 on AP European
If i dont get a 4 or better on AP Calc, can i choose to send neither of them into colleges?

Answers soon would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Yes. AP scores on applications are self-reported, so you don't have to report them. After you decide where you're going to school, you can decide whether to send your AP scores.

yeah i know i'm canceling my french exam that i took on monday...i christmas-treed it. :D But I don't know if i'm in your situation, i'm gonna cancel it b4 i even know my scores, so....i'm not sure.

Grade Withholding
You may have one or more grades withheld from the report sent to the college you indicated on your answer sheet. To have a grade withheld from the indicated college, AP Services must receive your written, signed request by June 15 accompanied by a $10 fee per grade, per college. If your request is not received by June 15, the grade is automatically sent to the college indicated on your answer sheet.

The grade will be withheld from any future grade reports sent to that particular college. You may later release the grade to that college by sending AP Services a signed written request.

If you later decide to send an AP Grade Report to a different college, however, you need to contact AP Services to have the grade withheld from that grade report.

A request to withhold a grade does not permanently delete your grade, and all exam grades, even those withheld from grade reports sent to colleges, are sent to you and your school.

So the short answer is yes, you can remove a grade from a score report without "cancelling" the grade.

However, keep in mind that the colleges will most likely ask you for your score, or be suspicious that you did not report it. The AP exam score is the college's indication of the rigour of your class. If you got a 98 in the class and a 3 on the exam, the 98 is not going to look impressive to them. If you got a 84 in the class and a 5 on the exam, it indicates that you were taking a very tough course. If they get no score, they will wonder why. If you take "AP" courses that are listed on your transcript but do not have an AP exam grade, the class really is not worth much or anything.

True, Carpe Aeternum, but since most scores aren't sent until after you've been accepted and sent your deposit (i.e., in the summer of senior year), the college's "suspicions" are pretty much irrelevant. You won't be revoked for not sending the scores. In fact, I know a bunch of kids who aren't even taking the AP exam as seniors because their schools don't give credit for them or they don't want to place out of the intro college course anyway.

There's no point worrying about withholding a score -- by the time you send the official report, you're a senior and already in. As a junior, you can leave a bad score off your application, but the ad com might think it strange that you didn't take the test (as Carpe said)

yeah, its not really that big of a deal though. AP tests aren't really a college admissions factor, there more for placement after admission. If you have a good SAT math score, 700+ and a good math GPA, it wont matter that u didnt take the calculus ap test. Don't woory about aps too much, if u get a bad score u can request to cancel it for free and it will be " permenantly deleted" from your record.

yeah so apparently colleges dont care at all about your AP scores. sucks for those people that get ridiculous 5's. Hhhahaah. Its just for placement when you get to college and potentially college credit. lol suckers
