Can you dance at all?

when i mean dancing, i mean like dancing well at parties and stuff like that cuz sometimes I feel like I'm the only one with no rhythm at all which keeps me at the sidelines which is rather annoying. But im curious as to whether there are actually a whole bunch of other people that feel the same and is there any way i can not dance like a floppy maniac

My “dancing” [oh it’s a crime to call it that =.=] would look like the move on the bottom right side of this drawing :

yup

You cant get any nerdier than that. Wow.

Thank you :]

^LOL we would make good friends, I think :)

And to the OP: I know what you mean. I used to be really self-conscious at dances, which detracted from my rhythm.

But just let yourself go and have fun with it. Honestly though, if your school is anything like mine, most dances just feature butt-on-dick (aka grinding), which isn’t exactly…my…thing.

But if you really need help learning how to follow the music, join a dance crew or take a hip hop class or something. I joined the dance team my freshman year and it was the best thing to happen to my dance skills… :D

Yeah, I can’t dance either. I went to a school dance recently and spent my entire time standing on the sidelines looking awkward. I’m really bad at not only dancing but also at all social situations. My excuse for even going? “Hi, I’m part of the Yearbook Club. Could I take your picture?” (lol) I did get some pretty good pictures for the club, though :D

@ViTong4 lmaoo epic pic that just made my day!!
@ heartist yeah i do see a lot of grinding going on at the parties i’ve been to and heard about and i feel so uncomfortable even thinking bout doing that! But im definitely thinking Zumba since i think the moves are pretty cool
@ UFOninja haha i wish i could do that so now i just avoid dances period but at least im able to chit-chat with people on the sidelines so im too bored

But now i am soo relieved that im definitively not the only one?

I can dance if the routine is choreographed, haha. But lately I have been trying to improve my freestyling skills…now I can do all the basic dances (jerk, dougie, cat daddy, shuffle, X-outing, movin’ like Bernie). Still trying to improve my skills though. Next I want to learn how to B-boy
Also I’d love to start learning the dances from K-pop videos, but those are meant for groups and there’s no one that will join me. Oh well.

@ViTong4
You know you are a true nerd and you not only get that joke but laugh out loud very loudly. I laughed very loudly… Jeez…

I can swing but that’s about it.

I’m an Asian bboy lol

@ViTong4: That was amazing. Thank you.
