Can you help me out with when and where to send transcripts/SAT/AP scores?

UC:

  1. When do I send transcripts? Do I have to send each UC a transcript separately?
  2. When do I send SAT scores? Do I have to send each SAT score report separately?
  3. When do I send AP scores? Do I have to send each UC a score report separately?

CSU:
Same questions as above.

If I don’t have to send the transcripts/SAT/AP scores separately, how do I send them to all the UC/CSU at once?

I really hope this made sense.

Usually, the SAT scores are directed when you take the test and sent well in advance of the application - but not sure what they are doing now that its no longer part of the decision. there’s a generic code for all CSUs (3594) and I think another for all of the UCs (don’t know what it is) they use to direct them. You can send scores for previous tests from the college board web site.

For Transcripts, you will be asked to provide them after your acceptance and you only need to supply them to the school you plan to attend. Your school will send them electronically. They typically make those requests through their portal (each CSU and UC has their own) - which is a pain to stay on top of if you apply to lots of them.

If you send your SAT score report to one UC campus, it should be shared with all of the rest of the campuses. I would verify with each campus this year since they have been going back and forth legally with test blind and test optional status.

You send AP scores at the end of your Senior year to the school you end up enrolling.

Some UC campuses have decided to be SAT/ACT-blind for admission. Others want to be SAT/ACT-optional, but may be forced to be SAT/ACT-blind depending on legal battles.

CSUs are test-blind for admission this year.

Even where the campus is SAT/ACT-blind for admission, it may use test scores for placement or some such for matriculating students. SAT subject and AP tests may be used for placement as well.

UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, and UC Santa Cruz are test-blind regardless of the court injunction this admission cycle.

The other 6 campuses can use SAT/ACT scores at the moment for admission purposes.

The First Appellate District Court of Appeal in California stayed a case against the UC Board of Regents that required the UC system to cease its use of the SAT and ACT in its admissions process until further order from the court.

According to the court docket, the decision is pending further consideration of the petition to stay the case. As the case is temporarily stayed, the UC system may use the SAT and ACT in its admissions at this time.
