Can you minor in a different school at Penn?

Can you major in Communications (for example) in the College of Arts and Sciences, and also minor in Statistics at Wharton?? I know you're allowed to take classes across the different schools, but can you cross with majors/minors? Please only reply if you know for sure!

Thanks in advance--

You can only get a major if you are also a part of the school. However, you can minor in any school you want.

I’m pretty sure you can’t minor in Wharton. There are a few minors that sort of cross over into Wharton though, like Actuarial Mathematics and Consumer Psychology (I think…)

stat is the only non-interschool wharton minor

you cannot minor in marketing, management, finance, opim, etc.

but you can take as many of those classes as you can possibly fit

other than that, any minor on the official list is open to anyone

And if you want to double major in another school, you need to fill out an app for that school but it’s doable. Technically, you could have a major in the engineering school, wharton school and the College.

there is a minor in statistics for college students:

Yep you can only minor in stats in Wharton.
