On the Princeton app, if I write I would most likely pursue a AB degree, for my second or third departmental choice, can I put down an engineering major like Electrical Engineering?

Know anybody that did this and got accepted?

I think that's perfectly fine. like they say, it's not binding or anything, they just want to know your academic interests.

You're fine. :) I know plenty of people who did that. For me, my first choice is a BSE major, second a closely related AB major, and third, a completely unrelated AB major.. and technically I'm still "applying for" BSE. I think that's how it works.

I did the opposite and got in, so it should be fine. I applied as BSE and put physics as my 3rd major choice.
