Can you self study for Math II?

Hi,

I am a high school junior and I am currently enrolled in Algebra 2. I am not bad at math, I just never took the Math placement test as a freshman (big mistake, I regret it everyday) and so they stuck me in Algebra 1 as a freshman. Math usually comes pretty easily to me, so I am wondering if it would be too much of a hassle to self study Math II. In June I'm taking Lit and World History, but this doesn't feel like enough. I don't know enough about science to take any science tests and I don't know enough about languages either. I don't want to take Math I because my counselor says its a waste of time and that colleges basically won't accept it compared to Math II. So I'm wondering how hard it is to self study for Math II and if so, when I should take it. Thanks!

If you’re good at math you could self study. I haven’t taken it yet but from my practice materials it all seems really easy. It’s mostly algebra 2 as well, although there is some trig you’ll need to learn but it’s easy trig for the most part. I’d say go for it though.

I’m now self-studying and I take SAT Subject at June, so then I will be able to tell if self-studying is possible ;)
