Teaching Yourself PreCalculus for SAT II Math IIC

Can this be done? I want to take the SAT Subject Test in Math II in January and I haven't even took Precalculus. My school runs on a block schedule, so I have have my classes now for an extended amount of time, and I will have half later. So I won't have Precalculus until January. Do you think I could teach myself Precalculus in time for the test? And by the way, I'm pretty okay in math, but it's totally not my favorite subject. I only got a 32 in math for the ACT. I'm doing this for kicks, just to see can I do it. Has anyone else did this? What advice can someone give me about the test?

hmm.. from what I recall, Pre-Calculus is not much different from Algebra 2..
All the new trig identities u learn are common sense (you can basically can derive them from one equation) I think you can still pull an 800 without knowing anything about conics.

I don't know... maybe you can memorize trig, but actually learning it is a different matter, and given the way tricky questions on the SAT work, learning it is far better, as it allows you to be able to mold your understanding to the question.

The rest of Pre-Calculus is like a month worth of end topics in Algebra II, pretty easy to do if your teacher started them. Its trig that would seem challenging to me.

PreCal is a lot of repetition from Alg II...a lot! So, if u think u have a strong math ability....then, self study it and go for it....but why do you really have to take it before taking PreCal? I don't get that part?
I'd say it is impossible, but if it doesn't hurt u to wait till the end of the year...I'd say it's recommendable to take it later.

hey im in precalc this year. But ive taken geometry, algebra, algebra II, functions, statistics, and trig, so i think im set
