Can you switch Spring to Summer, and how does Spring work?

How does spring work? I'm accepting it. Am I still class of 2015? Do I catch up with the rest of 2015 by fall? Anyone know? Can you switch to Summer? I thought I read someone did that last year.

You definitely can switch but it all depends on the students that don’t decide or accept go to UF in Fall or Summer. Just email them, I did that and I began in Fall, I was going to Summer.

When do I do this and find out? Do I have to wait until May?

bump. I wish UF spoke about this on their site.

I suggest you wait 1 or 2 weeks before asking for a term change. They will, however, tell you if yes or no, later in summer.

Later in the summer? But I want to go for Summer? I won’t find out sooner?

I understand since you applied to switch for fall, maybe that’s why you found out later?

When I say Summer, I mean almost at the end of the high school year, around graduation they will tell you.

Will I found out before May 12th? That’s when Summer B orientation starts.

Maybe, however in your case, it seems easier because you are like going against traffic, everyone wants to get out of summer and you want to go to summer so they can even change you instantly.

True. I found a thread where people started getting change late April or first week in May.

TELL ME! I was one of them! They even send you a letter.

Yup. Saw you in the thread. That was pretty funny. lol

Looks like I have to wait until late April early May to see if I get accepted. Do they usually accept by first come first served for Spring to Summer? I’ll send mine in first thing Monday. ha. Is their a form or do you have to send an email explaining why you should you have your term changed?

No, just send an email. Actually, now I think that the faster, the better, you should do it now. That’s what I did.

I saw the email address in that thread and I’m kinda hesitant now. What if I call on Monday and somehow they are able to change it quicker? Plus there closed now. I will definitely send it by monday night.

What do I say in the email? I think that is one of the reasons why I should call before I send.

haha After waiting 6 months to see if I get in, on the day of I have to wait a little under 3 months to see if I get my term changed.

Can I actually state in the email I’ll take Summer or Fall. Or should I just stick with it and ask for Summer to be safe?

Oh yeah. Thanks for the help lr2010!
