I play the piano and am interested in continuing my music studies in college. However, I don't plan to major or even minor in music, so is it possible to still take piano lessons from the faculty if that is the case?

You need to check the specific college. Contact the music department chairperson directly. They are MUCH more helpful with this question than the general admissions folks who won't likely have a clue. DD found that at some schools, she could study but would have to pay. At other schools she couldn't study with the faculty and would have had to study off campus. At other places only grad students taught non-majors. AND at other places she could take lessons and be in ensembles. She is an oboe/English horn player. Where she is enrolled, she can take lessons from the faculty at no charge. However, majors get 1 hour lessons, minors get 45 minute lessons and non-music students get 30 minute lessons. She is taking a music minor and is happy to get those 45 minute lessons each week, and play in the orchestra. SO....just call or email, and ask.
