When can you do this and do they send you the ID, password etc?

i applied EA, and i never got anything about tracking it online. you could probably e-mail them and ask, but i'm pretty sure they don't have ID tracking #s.

oh right ok.. i just want to make sure everything got there.

what is the email address ?
they never seem to reply!!!

and im scared that my SAT scores won't get there in time... :(

when i said there was no tracking ID #, i forgot to mention that sometime soon they will be sending you a postcard in the mail to tell you that they either a) got everything, or b) are missing something (i think they'll tell you what)...and if you get whatever you're missing to them in a timely manner, they'll review it and you'll be fine. your SAT scores will get there, and you have the receipt from sending them, right? you should have gotten e-mail or will get regular mail confirmation from college board.

it's a funny misconception about college admissions - people seem to think that admissions offices process everything on the app deadline to see who sent stuff late. that just isn't possible. it takes them weeks to get everything in your file. granted, the sooner you send stuff, the sooner they'll have all your stuff together and be able to start reviewing your application. it is best to postmark things by the deadline, but if you're a day late, i don't think (although i'm not an admissions officer) they'll throw out your app. admissions officers generally aren't the ones opening the envelopes as they come in anyway, and with the thousands of envelopes pouring in at this time of year, the people who do open the envelopes aren't likely to check the dates on every one of them. also, for teacher recs and such, relax as far as deadlines go - ask your teachers to send them on time, and check in to make sure they get sent, but admissions offices understand if your history teacher has 30 recs to write and yours happened to be the one that was left on their desk when they went to the post office.

calm down, you'll get into a good school and everything will work out. admissions officers know you're human, and even at an ivy, they don't expect you to be absolutely perfect. (oh, and they're human too...they do and will make mistakes every year)

ok thanks so much for ur reassurance and detailed post!

i'll just wait for that acknowledgement mail, or email them sometime soon to check up on everything, cus i finished my application with them.
