So I applied for a multitude of out-of-state universities thinking that moving away far from home would be the best thing for me. I would be away from home, in a completely different place, forced to grow up as quickly as I can. Well, I ended up choosing Hawaii, in part because of the weather and because this is a rather great place to learn Japanese. "This couldn't have been a better choice!", or so I thought. As soon as I sobered up, which was rather too late since I'm already in school, I realized the amount of money that I will owe is seriously not worth staying here. It's already too late to transfer out before school begins, since my tuition and housing still need to paid for both semesters even if I'm not here. My best bet is to transfer out of here as a sophomore applicant to a California school or just realize this entire year was a total waste, suck it up, and then move back in with the parents and attend a jc while paying of the 20g's or so from this year alone (ya, yeesh).

So then let me ask, what are my chances of transferring to another school as a sophomore? Is it possible? Or am I quite literally screwed with my options. . .

My current university is Hawaii Pacific University.

Any good feedback would be helpful
