Can you write about how you died on the essay?

I know you can make up your examples on the essay. So, let's say I was responding and said, "I was hiking and fell off a cliff to my death." Would you lose points for blatantly false evidence? Or would that still be okay? This is a serious question, btw. I am not planning on doing this, but I was just wondering.

That might work better for a creative writing assignment or perhaps for a college admissions essay. I’m not sure I have seen any SAT prompt where I could bring in any such personal experience.
I would suggest you strictly adhere to the prompt given. Also, if possible, do not completely rely on personal experience. Bring in references to literature if possible.

I laughed so damn hard when I read the title lol

“Several examples from literature, history, and my recent death show that honesty is indeed the best policy…”

^haha

my made up the most random crap for my essay lol. I wrote about how a guy from a fake novel learned from his buisness mistakes. I also wrote about a fake doctor who learned from his malpractices and cured a rare skin disease in the 19th century in central anatolia. yeah.

Blatantly false evidence still might be fine (essay isn’t graded on the facts)… kinda strange that you want to talk about your death though. What prompt did you want to use that as an example for?

xD
I’m pretty sure the personal examples have to still be believable, if not true

Well considering how they read 50 essays per hour, a good laugh will definitely raise the grade! Best of luck!

Sometimes a different approach will differentiate you from other generic essay writers. It could help you, though it is not that hard to get a 10-12 if you just follow the standard intro, 2 body (on literary or historical things), 1 conc format.

“Several examples from literature, history, and my recent death show that honesty is indeed the best policy…”

@johnnyzxz…ha ha. You are first person who made me laugh today! Yea, I lead a pretty depressing life =D

might try this when I take the SAT again
