Canadian Colleges and the SAT and ACT

I'm from the US and I just moved to Canada. I don't understand what you need to apply for a university here. Are there test you need to take like the SAT or ACT?

No, Canada currently does not have a standardized test. You just need what you’d normally need: a high school transcript, teacher’s recs, etc. The application process may be slightly different as you are not a Canadian citizen, but you definitely don’t have to take any Canadian standardized tests, as there are none! :)

If you are applying to a US university, you generally have to take the regular SAT/ACT even if you live in Canada. Canadian schools do not require these tests for Canadians. Look at each univerity’s website and click “Admissions”.

^ ALL applicants applying to a US school must take some form of standardized test, be it the SAT, the ACT, and/or the SAT IIs… unless you are applying to a very tiny liberal arts college
