Hey all, I got admitted to Cornell's Engineering College, and I'm from Canada, so I was wondering if any other potential Canadian Cornellians would like to introduce themselves. MSN: leaf_fan1000@hotmail.com, AIM: Leaffan1000. And no ridiculing the MSN/AIM, I made them names when I was like 10.

hey im from canada too...yay for canadians at cornell....

going to be at CAS

anyone else?

me too... CAS... although I'm kind of doubting whether it's worth it to go to cornell in favour some of the better canadian programs. i mean... no offense but cornell is no harvard.

me too... CAS

lol "leaf_fan" booo :P

I'm from Toronto (Mississauga to be exact) going for engineering.

I'm from Vancouver and I got accepted to Engineering :p. Now all I need is the financial package... =D

You're right hands, Cornell is better because they will have all of us! heh

we should have a canadian people club as we are clearly the best... my email is emilyredston@hotmail.com/email and my aim is classicgirl1325 and i'd love to talk to some fellow canadians

Hey you guys!

I am a fellow Canadian too. I am, however, not accepted yet b/c I am only a junior (grade 11).

Could you guys all post your stats on here so I can see where I stand.

Thanks!

It's so nice to see that so many Canadians got into ivy-leagues. Whoooot. hehe.

My stats are pretty generic,
2210 SAT I
2400 SAT 2
Top 1% of 600 in competitive public school
IB curriculum, numerous math + science awards etc.
then a few clubs.

2310 SAT I
2350 SAT 2
Top 10 or so of 500 compeitive
random club president
etc. etc.

When you say "SAT 2" do u just mean your second try? cause there is a test called the SAT 2 but you can only get up to 800...

Those stats are amazing and you guys should be very proud of yourselves!

SAT I: 2130
SAT II: 2380

Some EC, one of the top chess players in Canada for my age group.

SAT II is a seperate exam, where they test you knowledge in each seperate subjects (ex. chem, physics, etc).

I know, I've just never seen people combine 3 of them to form a score out of 2400. Thats interesting and really good.

I had an awful SAT I - 2060
770 Chem | 780 Math 2 | 800 Physics
~96 average, which is top 10 in my class of 100.
I have some awards and stuff - schoolwide and like 99th percentile in some national contests, state/provincial level Chem Olympian, heh.
A few EC's I suppose, nothing crazy like huge volunteering or leadership.

Woo hoo! I'm live in Toronto, though I'm not sure if I'll attend Cornell for sure. Another front runner is Chicago...

i'm canadian, but I live in virginia.... but it'll change to ithaca, ny soon ( in 5 months, whoo!)

It's such an exciting yet depressing idea. We will soon go to a truly amazing place and have the time of our lives...but on the other hand we are leaving our friends, perhaps some for forever, and I myself will be about 5 1/2 hours away from my family. It seemed like when my brother went to college (about the same distance away) my parents were able to deal with it...especially because he caused a lot of drama in the house. Now that I'm going the house is going to be empty of kids and I'm just sort worried for my parents...this is definitely a crazy experience!

aww, tehe, worried for your parents... remember that commercial from a few years ago, when the kid moved out or went off to college, and the parents seemed sad, but went to disney world instead? I bet my parents would do just that.

Ya well you are right about my parents being happy...at least about one thing. My parents, especially my mother who is INSANELY EXCITED, want to go to Europe sooooooooooooooooo badly when I go to study abroad (Most likely to Italy) and it is pretty much gonna make them really really really happy and I can't wait! hah
