Canadian thread

Hey all! Just curious as to how many Canadians roam these forums just like me :)

Anyways, I haven't yet applied to college but will be doing soon.

So, let's see which Canadians we have here :D

Me! I'm Canadian.

Canadian too, but I won't be applying for university anytime soon. Still in junior high!

yahhh go canada!

one more here, where are you guys off to?

i am canadian, in my senior year, got rejected by all american schools :( low score and GPA and bad essays (my archilles heel :()

Newbyreborn what schools did u apply to? and with what stats??

I'm Canadian too!
I'm still a junior though... so I haven't applied to any US schools yet, or taken the SATs or anything. I might apply to a couple Ivies just for the heck of it to see if I get in though... because I really just want to stay in Canada with my boyfriend anyways. Also, why not save going to Harvard for grad school right? (haha jk)
I really should be studying... IB exams in 3 days! Aaaah!

stats were a little too low
1400 SAT I
700w 780iic 630bio(killed me)
85% (4.2) gpa in canada rank about 4/340(but no rank indicated)
a few clubs, founder of 1 and student body for 1 year
applied to killer school, my chances of gettign in were like winning a lottery.
dartmouth, cornell, penn, washu st.louis, berkeley, ucla and stanford(EA)
and to answer cowgirlatheart, grad school at top school are really hard to get in if you didn't do undergrad at their school. i read at harvard law or something, they accept like 600/5000 and over 50% of acceptees are from harvard!

Canadian here!

hey guys....if im an indian citizen but a canadian permanent resident - am i considered a canadian or indian when applying....and then am i international or not.....considering that a lot of people assert that the US looks at canada as not-that-international....

Canadian. toot toot! (:

me...........

I don't think you should give up all hope for attending grad. school in the US. I had a couple of friends who went to undergrad school in Canada and ended up in Stanford for graduate school. You just have to stay at the top of your class in college and get some great recs. Also...job experiences are VERY important for grad. school. =) good luck!

It's not like US grad school is the only option anyways.
Europe is much cooler ;)
I was just saying that if you don't try, you're guaranteed to miss out!

Europe is nice, but also very $$$$$$$
and UCAS require you to apply in May or June i remember

Canadian here, going to UChicago either this Fall or next (still waiting on an answer for my deferral request).
