hi guys!!
canadians unite!!

i'm from toronto, ON, and i'm applying to US unviersities this coming fall

anyone else?

You don't look Canadian shrugs

I am Canadian. Where is everyone applying?

Big brother is not canadian...he's american

anyways.........

where's every applying to? =)

I'm mainly applying to reaches because I think that some Canadian schools (McGill) matches some American schools, so I might have to stay in Canada.

same here, i'm only applying to reach/low reach too
but i do want to go to america a lot

heres my list of schools

u mich
u chic
penn
nyu
georgetown
cornell
yale(lol one can dream XD)

can u suggest more low reaches for me?

How about Northwestern, Wisconsin, Wash U-StL, Tufts, SUNY Binghampton, or Illinois? Are you interested in smaller LACs? I'm more familiar with them, since that was what my son focused on (although he liked Queens in Kingston a lot too). Do you know what you want to major in yet?

hi sandy, might i suggest dartmouth? it's an awesome school for econ/business.

lol hey judy, nice to see you here =)

it's not that i've never considered dartmouth, it's just that its high selectivity is kinda scary XD

EColdad:

thanks for the suggestions! LACs do interest me a lot. but since i want to major in econ/businesss, and possibly get a job in US after undergrad, do they have good job market too?

thanks!

apply there anyway. take a risk, who knows, you might just get in.

raises hand I'm Canadian. :) I never even considered the US when I was doing my undergraduate apps because I had no idea financial aid existed. Good on all of you for being proactive, and best of luck.

I'm surprised someone would choose to apply to UMich tbh -- given equivalent opportunities in Canada for a way lower price. But hey, if you're lucky enough to come from a family that doesn't have to worry about that, then why not.

Vancouver represent yeeeah

Don't we already have another humungous Canadian thread?
Oh Well, yeah. I'm from Vancouver too.
YAY Canadians ;)

I'm from Toronto/Vancouver.

From AB, but I go to UBC. :)

Haha a lot of Vancouverites here. I'm from Vancouver also =)

British Columbia is such an Asian province. It's like the Canadian version of California per demographics.

haha, that's true.

@Yihan

So you've decided not to take a gap year and apply this fall? Good choice :)

crap, are u telling me my application have to beat so many vancouverites in the fall?
