Hello, I'm just wondering whether being a Canadian is considered a disadvantage when applying to schools like Stanford. I'm aware of the fact that applicants from Canada are considered international, but I heard that they are treated differently from other international applicants. Is that true?

well i guess canadians are "kind of" considered international but on the other hand, they are "kind of" treated as us citizens. Also Canada and US have similar curriculum I think. (I'm studying in Toronto) so I guess when it comes to admission, canadians are treated as pretty much like us citizens. but I heard that Stanford doesn't really recognize canadian schools though:(

I doubt Canadians are in the same competition as the American students for admission.
