Im pretty new to AP tests and SAT tests so i ask this:

They say i can cancel or withhold AP tests, but by June 15th. That means by June 15th they'll have it on permanent record and all colleges will see it?
Then if i get a bad score and cancel it before June 15th, there won't be any record of it ever?
But then, do i get a finalized score before June 15th?

Finally, they say i should put a college name onto my answer sheet for the college to send the scores to, but I am a sophomore and have no colleges....

Thanks

Canceling AP tests i one of the most horrible things one could do. It means that you literally have no self confidence in yourself, and you wasted your money and time studying for the test.

However, if for some reason you feel that it is necessary to do so, yes, canceling a score would be the equivalent of never have the test to begin with. However, you will never see what you got on the exam. Which is the sad part: you never know when that 2 you though you received really was a 3, which would SUCK!

Also, the college the score report is sent to is the oneyou wanna get into. Pretty much, if I was a top 10 overachiever in America, then I would want to send my 8 AP scores to Harvard so they can be impressed.

Don’t put down any college/university to send AP scores to since you’re a sophomore and will not be going to college next year. You could always put down a school, but in all likelihood, they’ll throw out the report since you have no application on file. And regarding the post above me, I’m quite confident that Harvard doesn’t give a ***** about some sophomore overachiever about which they have absolutely no other data.

You will not get scores until July. Cancelling after June 15 means that the cancelled score will not appear on any reports after the one you receive, if you get what I mean. Since you’re a sophomore, I’d recommend you wait until you get your scores to decide whether or not to cancel. The score(s) that you cancel after June 15 will not appear on any further AP score reports (i.e. your junior year report, your senior year report, and the one that gets sent to your college (your senior year one)).

i really want to cancel my ap latin score cause i SUCK AT LATIN LTOS AND LOTS
and basically if i don’t get a five i’m not going to be happy with it
but i heard that it looks weird if you take an ap and not the exam
but a lot of schools around here don’t have mandatory ap exams anyways so its not that uncommon where i live EXCEPT at my school its mandatory and i don’t know if my colleges could see that its mandatory? i don’t know advice? doe sit show when you withold?

If you don’t do well this year, can you retake next year?

If you retake an AP test, will both scores show up when we eventually send it to colleges? (if it’s about padding your app)

i don’t care about getting college credit, i just want to get into college :(
