Candid Discussion: Will yield drop?

It seems like it might (what with all the bad publicity), but I'm quite confident that the institution will recover rather quickly. What do you think?

Yup most likely. Although it only dropped one percent last year and that was in the wake of the dimensions protest.
I actually got into Dartmouth this year, but I’m choosing Amherst instead. Not because of the bad press per say, but it did make me a little worried about the school.

Ever heard of Angie Epifano?

Yeah, the girl who was raped at Amherst? I don’t see your point. I’m not arguing that amherst is this perfect college. Also, bad press and the many concerning events that have happened there in the last year are not my main reasons for not going- not even in my top 5 reason for not going. Also,Amherst and Dartmouth were my two top choices and It was actually very hard for me to pick between the two.

It seemed that you were suggesting that, of the two, D was the only one with bad press. I gather that that was not your intention. Sorry.

According to this article Dimensions went well and hundreds committed. I think that increasing the number of Dimensions offerings may have helped save the yield, but only time will tell.

According to another post, yield increased.
