Candidate Weekend Question Help!!

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I have been invited to attend the NYU AD Candidate Weekend at the end of February and I am absolutely delighted. But on one of the forms that I have to feel up, I have to sign the following statement:</p>

<p>"I, the undersigned, certify that I have not entered into a binding arrangement with another university, college, or institution of tertiary or higher education, or any arrangement that would interfere with my option to enroll at NYU Abu Dhabi if I were offered admission."</p>

<p>So, if I applied ED 2 to another institute and the results aren't out yet, am I not allowed to sign on this statement? Am I disqualified from participating in the Candidate weekend?</p>

<p>And also, is Candidate Weekend mandatory? Because even if they rescind my Candidate Weekend offer, I would like to keep my application alive.</p>

<p>Please help me with this because the deadline's close. Thank you in advance!!</p>

<p>I <em>think</em> that as long as you haven’t heard a decision from that other school, you still haven’t technically made the commitment yet, just like people waiting to hear about ED apply to other schools in the interim. I do believe it is mandatory though, from their website: “Candidate Weekend participation is required in order to be admitted.”</p>
