So far my classes that I'm taking for sure are:
CS 184
CS 170
Math 110

(I'll also be doing research next semester)

These are the list of classes I'm considering but can't decide between:
Physics 110A
EE 122
CS 188
Linguistics 100

If you've taken any of the four classes above could you describe your experience of that class in terms of overall interest in the things you learned and workload? thanks!

Also given that I'm doing research (for the first time btw), should I even do a fourth class or should I just stick with 3?

CS 184 is likely a heavy workload with programming assignments and projects.

CS 170 and Math 110 are math workload. I.e. low workload if you like math and are good at it, but can be intellectually difficult (and therefore more time consuming) if it takes a lot of time to wrap your brain around math (especially with proofs).

Since Physics 110A is not a lab course, I would expect it to be similar to math workload. Did you like Math 53 and Physics 7B?

EE 122 concepts are likely to be very useful in industry software jobs.

I liked Math 53 and I enjoyed Physics 7B much more than 7A but it wasn’t a favorite class or anything.

My best classes in math when I was doing lower divs were CS70 and Math 54 and currently two of my four classes are kinda mathy (EE 120 and EE 126), where EE120 is a ridiculously low workload for me and 126 (with Sahai) takes me quite a while to finish (Well on certain homeworks anyway).
