Can't edit, like, or flag "must enable javascript"

For some odd reason, I have lost these functions (and the notifications won’t drop down). If I click them, nothing happens or I get redirected to a page that says “whoops! you must enable javascript”. Java script is enabled and I tried 3 different browsers (chrome, firefox, safari), and tried restarting, none of which fixed the problem. I’m starting to wonder if its a glitch on the CC side, like the login glitch.

well that’s odd, it just went away. I hope its gone for good and won’t go in and out like the login thing.

That is odd. We seem to see a lot of these random, fleeting errors. Hard to diagnose that way. Glad to hear it has remedied itself for the time being. Let us know if this persists. Thank you!

Ill let you know, thanks Lenitus!

I am getting the “whoops - must enable javascript” today even though I have Javascript enabled.

Had the same issue and now it is gone.

If the issue is still occurring please try hitting Ctrl+F5. That should force the latest version of the JS file to load and correct the problem.

I am also having these problems intermittently.

me three

Tried to bookmark this thread. First 2 times got ‘Whoops you need javascript’. Third time it bookmarked it.

Just had trouble today with this - selected the “gear” to edit my post, and it wouldn’t work.

I usually blame Java updates more than the sites.

I also am seeing some issues with the notifications and account options icons. The last update I have gotten is that the vendor is looking into the root cause. Things were working again for me a few hours ago, but I am seeing the problems again.

I’ve been having similar issues throughout the day today. Never had this happen before.

I’m having the same issue. Make this go away, please. We don’t deserve this.

Justin…you can’t hit control 5 on an IPad,

Excellent point, @thumper1. You would need to go to the iPad’s settings, select the browser you use, then tap “Clear Cache” from there to get the same effect.

Hitting Ctrl F5 worked for me.

Certainly not! Last I knew all was well again. As MaineLonghorn notes above, you may have to clear the cache one final time with either Ctrl F5 or Justin’s instructions for clearing the iPad cache a few posts ago.

I know one of you will inform us if the issue resurfaces. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the frustrations.

I’m not having this problem…I was just pointing out that one can’t hit control anything on an iPad!

No worries, thumper1. I was actually responding to a post from another member and then re-iterating what Justin said since his iPad instructions were on the previous page.
