<p>512MB of RAM is not future-proof by any means, especially with Leopard on the horizon. 1 GB should be your baseline, and keep it on one DIMM for later, should you decide to go with 2 GB; since the MacBooks use dual channel memory, it's best to have two sticks of RAM of the same size.</p>
