Too late. You could have given it up for Lent.

I can quit any time I want. Really.

So DD just rolls her eyes if I mentioned CC - she is a senior in college and graduating in May But CC was invaluable when we were navigating a performance degree - the Music Degree forum is fabulous. Now I add thoughts there and read here and Parent Cafe. I too can quit any time - really I can ;)

My kids call the cc parents my “make believe friends”.

I’m a CC crack addict and need detox. Hard to break away. I do more lurking than posting, I am perplexed and miss some of the older regular posters that have not posted in a while. I hope they are all okay and how did they detox from CC.

I still come around and read threads, but don’t post nearly as often as I used to. I enjoy these boards because they are well-moderated and interesting. I mostly hang out in the Parents’ Cafe - the topics are more relevant to me now.

The classic story is that I told my 17 yr old that CC is my “facebook”…I am not involved in FB and never will be…

Her response: “But at least I KNOW the people who are my friends on facebook!!”…“How do you know that the people on CC aren’t internet stalkers??? I hope you don’t give out your personal information”“”???

My response: “Thanks, Mommy…I’ll remember!!!” lol

LOL. Well, I take comfort in being stuck here with a bunch of funny people. Next step, the Parent Cafe.

Um, my name is NewHope, and I’m a CC_holic.
