I've scrolled through tons of college profiles for their Academics and Majors pages but none seem to fit. I'm not limiting my particular college choices to these standards but it would be nice if I had one or two of them to apply to. It would be pretty awesome to go to the same college as my friend but he's looking to go into Music Management as a major while I'm Communication/Journalism (possibly Writing/Publishing). Does anyone know of some schools with good programs for each of these?

Without knowing alot of your detail, I'd suggest looking at University of Hartford. Music Management through the Hartt School is highly regarded, and I think Hartford has a respectable Commuications concentration.

the university of miami has an outstanding music business program, but i'm not so sure about communication studies, although the school as a whole is rising quite a bit. Also some of Northwestern's best programs are in music and communications, so that would be great. Miami is a fun place, i'm relatively clueless about Northwestern's campus and other info but i've heard its a great place to do undergrad. Again, along with violadad, i think we need more details on what type of kids you both are and what type of schools you all are capable of getting into. Good luck on your search

here's what Northwestern has, its got interdisciplinary music business if thats what your friend is interested in. http://www.ugadm.northwestern.edu/freshman/academics/music.htm

Medill school of journalism atNorthwestern is internationally recognized. http://www.medill.northwestern.edu/medill/

We both maintain 3.2 GPAs, I hold varsity spots on Indoor Track currently and both of us will try to place in tennis in spring. He's in drama club stage management and a drummer in his own band as well as an excellent participant in his church's going-ons. I'm a member of Key Club (though my hours this year are bleak, I'll make up for it in spring/senior year), The Creative Streak (school's art/literary magazine) and I'm joining the Newspaper which just came back into circulation this past week due to an absense of an advisor. Florida schools are an option for me though we're looking primarily Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region.

Bump.........^_^

Emerson College

Ohio University in Athens Ohio. (Very strong in communications/journalism.)

okay, why the push to go to school with your friend? what about being in the same city?

college is about explornig and if you are looking to pick a college that the both of you can go to, what if yu grow apart, will you still be happy at that school

Oh I'm definitely not choosing to go to the same school as him, most likely will end up far apart. But I just wanted to check to see if any schools, or like you said cities that have two schools, have both our majors. It would just be cool to college-life with him since he's probably the friend that's the most like me.

Maybe SUNY Purchase. I also have a friend going into music business at Saint Rose College in Albany and they might have communications.

At first I tossed Saint Rose but I'm starting to think more of it. But I already know SUNY Purchase doesn't have communications.

In case you're interested, I just posted this today.
