AHHHHHH

AHHHHHH

10char

did u get in/get rejected/get deferred?
could be too happy/sad/miserable to say AHHHHHH.

He's most likey talking about the wait still.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHx100,000

lol...i c. its ok...we're all waiting...

I think I'll hibernate until Tuesday. After my AP study session for Stat and CompSci tomorrow, of course.

^wat time is it there?no school?

My mom called me in and let me take a flop day.
Suppose I can work on those other applications now...

lol..nice.my mom doesnt even care that much, she makes me go to school even if im dying of sickness

My mom's more anxious than I am. She says she has a gut feeling that I'll get in, and she says it the same gut feeling when she sent in her first manuscript. It got published.

u applied to stern rt? where r u from? where do u live?my mom? she thinks its a far reach for me. well good luck, im putting my hope on Umich, which should be out this weekend

No, Gallatin is the goal. I'm in Texas and I sure as heck don't plan on living here ever again in my life after graduation.

lol..is texas that bad? i planned on applying to UTexas-Austin...im having second thots now

my mom has already picked out the huge luggage that I'm going to bring when I move to NY. she's going to go buy it when we come back from Cambodia.

everyone else practically has my name in their minds as the "NYC tour guide" and planning to come visit me during Christmas next year.

everyone else has been saying "you'll get in for sure, what kinda crap are you talking about?? don't worry, be happy!".

I don't know how I'm going to do this.

thats wat ppl say in my school, dont know where they get the idea that im an automatic IN..well..thats wat i tell my frds.."cmon u'll get in for sure, if u dont get in, who else can." guess its just what we say to make frds feel better and less anxious.

even people who are just mere acquaintances are putting their name down for a tour of NYC...and they think just because I get good grades I'm automatically in.

my friends on the other hand think it's like admissions to universities in Australia/UK where everything is grade-based and have no idea that in the US an applicant has to be well-rounded.

where are most of your classmates applying to?

our class? our school arranges class in a weird way. im in a class where "bright" students gather, basically we make up the top 25 ranks in our grade. we all take IB diplomas, which is the toughest course we can get. so u can imagine, 3 of my frds applied to stanford, one to duke(my lucky bro, got in this morning), 2 dartmouth, 1 brown, 1 Columbia, one upenn (wharton), one northwestern, etc. how bt ur classmates?

majority are staying back a year to finish a private exam (which IMHO is a waste of time and a pain to score), some are doing their A-levels and some are going to Australia next year.

I'm the only one in the entire year to apply to American unis, and teachers are perplexed when I ask for recs because they've never done this before.

From what I got from another teacher, in the past 6 years, only me and another kid have applied to an American uni. Six years!

wow, all of them going for ivys! haha, the only US uni people know here is Harvard. When I said that Wharton is the #1 business grad school they're like, "why is it a state school? ew. it sounds like a state school!".

Winston-No, UT is a great school but it has a party rep and it's not that hard for people to get in from Texas. I just don't belong here.

It's actually really strange because where I come from about 10 people applied early to NYU (all to different programs though), about 20 to Brown, 17 to Yale, a bunch to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell etc.

A lot of my friends already got into the ivies. They heard yesterday. Two of my friends got into LSP for NYU, so that just got me more anxious. I hope we hear tomorrow or else I'll go crazy

^ Smartass school. Lol I think 4 girls from my school applied to Ivys, 2 to Cornell, 2 to Columbia. All defered. Kinda sad.
