i'm only a sophomore but already i feel like i just want to quit school..anyone else feel that way? i've been slacking lately, well because i was sick, and now i have to make up all this work and it's just getting too stressful for me. anyone else feel this way? any advice to relieve my stresssss?!!!

buy a car, and joy ride around town

Listen to music. (preferably relaxing stuff)
Get a hobby (preferably physically inclined, like running, swimming)
Start laughing (watch Family Guy)

Join a club that you're intrested in (sorry if you already do or if you don't have any)
Talk to people
Start laughing (yes, I agree w/ ilovetocamp, watch King of the Hill, South Park, etc.)

I'm glad that my school uses block scheduling, so I only have to take one class for an half year, and you'll get new classes on 2nd semester. I don't like taing one class throughout the year.

Jessica, we've all felt that way at some point. Call someone you haven't talked to in a long time, or send him/her a nice, long email? Talking to people always makes me feel better :-) Oh, and ice cream doesn't hurt, either!

Ha, oh, girl, don't give up now! It's only sophomore year and there's still time to blow it. Lots of time to blow it. You don't want to set up slacker habits for Junior year. I don't wanna put more pressure on you, but no matter how much you want to, you can't let up now. But yes, exercise is good. Just chill with your friends this weekend! Leave a whole day just for friends ~ like friday night and saturday day. Leave homework for Sunday, just don't neglect it if you can help it. I haven't let off until my senior year, and I think I blew it somewhat just because of first semester.

dude if u do ur hw interspersed with episodes of Family Guy (as ilovetocamp said) or Chappelle's Show, that could really help u get through the night.

I still hate high school, thankfully I am almost done. For one, I get very annoyed by the kids I go to school with. High School is full of such petty BS. You rarely get to take classes that actually matter to you, unlike college where you are actually studying something you have chosen to study. This is the only year I have enjoyed out of high school, but I am still anxious to get it over with. So yeah, good luck...just hope the next 2 years go by quickly.

HB: I totally agree with you. (Only four months left! He11s yeah baby!) High school is so incredibly shallow and petty. Everyone is so concerned with self image and hanging out with the right group of people. College admissions are getting so much more competitive with this larger generation of kids, the world is going crazy! I did enjoy ninth grade, though. What a mixed up time lol. I enjoyed the first half of senior year too, but meh, this semester isn't looking so hot.

Yes, it is true that school can be VERY annoying at times...but seriously TAKE IT FROM ME don't start slacking now. If you do, you will start liking it or something and you will never be able to do work again. THE LAST THING YOU WANT IS A "DOWNWARD GRADE TREND" believe me cus I am cursed with one!!!!!!

So I would say just try to get through the weeks, and live it up on the weekends. LOL Maybe not the best advice--but high school CAN be really fun (other than the whole school part).

Oh yeah, you could also talk to your GC or teachers...last yr I was sick for the longest time, but none of my teachers really knew what was going on. Once they found out, they were really understanding about it and gave me extra time to get everything done...either way, it couldn't hurt!

I'm going to have to agree with Nicky, colleges actually take your final transcripts now, so last semester of highschool you can't really screw around anymore. I lost interest in school, and my GPA really declined. So now I have to use this semester to gain some of it back, which kinda sucks.
