I'm a junior, so not only do I have to finish up this year (mid-june), but I also have to go through the motions for a whole nother year. It pains me to see all these seniors done. how did you seniors feel at this point last year? I can't go a day without hating high school. I love weekends, but the schoolweek is just holding me back from finally going to college. I know that it'll eventually come, but holy **** it's a long time away

haha i felt the same way you do and I cant wait to graduate!!!! But no I could not stand to think that i had to go through the same thing for another year

I felt the same way too. Don't worry, it'll only get worse :) especially 2nd semester senior year

I kind of feel like you too, and I'm a sophomore. At least you don't have go through another 2 years like I have to.

hahahah seriously since you know your so close to graduation!!!

I feel exactly like you do (junior here too)

But think about it, this time next year, you (and me) will hopefully both have an idea of where we're going to college. By then, we won't need to worry about schoolwork, etc. WOO!

After 11 long years, you're going to come this far just to **** it up now?

That's like saying you're too lazy to finish with dignity with just a mile left in the marathon. Pessimism is a behavioral disorder, not a physical condition. Just suck it up like millions of people have done before you...

Things actually go by faster than you realize ... and then once the "end" comes around, you'll wonder where all the time went!

Junior year will probably be your best high school year. Do the work and relax...Senior year will (especially the first semester/fall) KICK your butt so hard you won't be able to sit...

Take the summer vacation to really relax and start picking out schools and get your college stuff ready.

Things actually go by faster than you realize ... and then once the "end" comes around, you'll wonder where all the time went!

Sorry, but I disagree with this 100%.

Gonna be honest, about march junior year to november senior year @ school was horrible. I had so much crap to do and didn't have a weekend off, either.

It seems impossible, but you get through it!

Hmm..honestly, I was wayyyy too busy this time last year to be thinking about being done. Applying for summer programs, studying for SATs/APs, playing tennis, etc etc etc. Sooo busy. I got less busy around November when a lot of my apps were either done or turned in. Then it's chill time and you won't be able to wait for school to end :D Now, I know where I'm going and have to wait less than three months to be done...imagine how I feel. I can't wait!

Junior here...I can't wait till I get to experience senioritis.

Let me emphasize - my school isn't hard, and next year I will only be taking 4 classes. It's just the thought that kills me. 15 more months!!!

make sure your senioritis comes around in second semester, so then you can enjoy hanging out, goofing off, sleeping, etc. right now school is the best it has ever been but that might because i know nothing can screw me up now

i'm a senior now and i wish i could go back to my sophomore and junior years. they were so much funnn. no expectations and everyone planned everything for you and held your hand. now i'm on my own and have to do everything myself. it's nice, but is really hard at the same time. my high school career is ending and it's sad to think i have less than a semester left. i have no regrets and i'm happy about that. i am so excited for college though!

seriously enjoy junior year. it's a hell of a time. enjoy high school while you can. come summer you'll be visiting schools and really getting into college mode. 1st semester of senior year is hell. essays, apps, school work, working, sports.... by the time it's over it'll be second semester and you'll realize how close you are to finishing. do your schoolwork and enjoy the weekends, friends, and the summer.

to answer your question though... last year as a junior at this point in the year was sweet. i was really getting into colleges and the process. my classes were sick... especially the ones with seniors cause they were always so upbeat and hilarious. some of their senioritis rubbed off on us juniors and it felt good to not care about school all the time. starting to take the reigns as upperclassmen and having more freedom and exclusions from rules was sick. it really was a grand last semester. have fun with it! and good luck!

look it may seem like a long time now but it will come fast believe me thats what happened for me. the one thing you dont want to rush into is college apps. everything will come in due time. meanwhile enjoy it. it is the last time you are in highschool and a junior. i mean senior year is great but you should live it up. i mean why not?

I really can’t bring myself to go to school come Monday. School has come to mean no sleeping, headaches, dreadful people, horrible classes, and generally a not very fun time.

LOL I’m so ridiculously sick of high school, and not just the schoolwork, everyone in my school too.
