CAP or UTD?

I've been CAPed for psychology at UT, but accepted to UTD with a full ride and applying for honors. Would it be better to go to UTSA and transfer into UT or just go to UTD for all four years? Money isn't an issue, but I feel like I would be behind at UT if I transfer in. Thanks!

Honestly at the end of the day it depends on what you want to be. Do you want to be a Psychologist with that degree or do you hope to go to med school?

If money is a huge issue for you, use the first couple of years of that full-ride to UTD to take a broad range of courses and find something that interests you. If Psych turns out to be your forte, then you can always transfer. Or, you can take that full ride and go to grad school for Psych.

Depends on where you want to be. If money isn’t an issue, why not go to UTSA and just transfer over? You did want to go to UT, right?

I want to get a Ph.D. in industrial psychology.

Then I would honestly just go to UTD and save costs for undergrad. Get a bachelors and make very good grades. Choose a nice graduate school to get a phd in.

If money isn’t an issue I would recommend the psychology department at UT for a more substantial undergraduate experience. The faculty, research opportunities, and general availability of resources at UT is unparalleled in the state of Texas.

If you intend to attend graduate school, however, the most important things will be your GPA, graduate admissions exams, and, to a lesser extent, resume. Re: GPA, the curriculum at UT will be more challenging than UTD. I can’t speak to their honors program, but in general honors programs just offer a heavier workload and prestigious title.

A full ride is great though. Congratulations!
