Car @ UT

maybe you guys going from Austin to Houston should try the state route 71. less police.

Taking 71 home would take far too long for me. I don’t live in West or South Houston. I live in North Houston. 290 is far much easier.

When you guys go to Dallas, Make sure you watch out/slow down around 15 miles north and south of Waco- those areas are notorious for cops. I think the speed limit (mostly) on I-35 is 70 so I usually go 75 straight to Austin

^Ha, I THOUGHT the speed limit was 70 on the stretch I got a ticket, but it was 65! She clocked me at 76. Blech.

Ha dang. It’s always worse for a male driver to get clocked in by a female :(

vachee, but I am too lazy to google it.
car 2 go seems cheap. But I wasted one buck paying my electricity bill.

^ Bust out them candles.

sir, why not? But it was me who forgot to pay the bill on time and had to pay at HEB today.

^ Electricity causes pollution, beware.

As does the car you’re deciding if you should bring or not. ;)

Lol hookem, I’m just messing with xtra. He doesn’t want to buy a car because it pollutes. I have a heavy foot, I know my car pollutes :).

LOL. Yeah, I’m aware he is green, but for a second I thought you were too.

Xtra, you half-fake environmentalist. Tisk, tisk.

Oh, if you’re using candles, please make sure they are pure beeswax or only soy candles. Those paraffin ones are really bad for the environment…

■■■■■. /10char

xtra - I tried I-10 to route 71 for my orientation, and it was like half an hour quicker than 290. I live in south Houston so that was probably why. Definitely recommend it and didn’t see much police.

lol @ fake environmentalism. xD

Yes, but Route 71 is only appropriate if you live out near Matagorda Bay, Sugarland or Katy area, or even further east by like Pearland and Friendswood.

If you live north of 610 (north loop, not south loop), you should probably take 290, and if you live north of the Beltway (not South Belt, the North Belt) then you definitely should take 290.

No, Like I said, I don’t run the Ac that much in my room. All of my light bulbs are CFL light bulbs, which consumes less energy than the regular wire filament light bulbs. (except for the bulbs in which the management is responsible to change for me  ).

Finally, I wash my hands using a bowl of water I save every day from washing my contacts.

Maybe when they expand the Grand Parkway from I10 to 290, then 71 and I10 would be a better way to go. Also, I use 71 to 183 to Airport Blvd. to MLK. That way, I don’t have to deal with the traffic jam every time on Interstate 35.

Why do you need a bowl of water for your contacts? You rinse them with contact water and put them into your eyes and leave the house.

I understand the CFL light bulbs. I use them too, but I would honestly die in Texas without air conditioner. I already find myself warm while it’s running.

I use the Rigid gas permeable contacts. So I wash my contacts with the solution and rinse them out in water. When I put them on, I rinse with the contact solution.
