If your rank is high, I would ED Tufts as your best possibility for a top school without a major score rise. For the legacy boost, you need to show the love ED.

thank you

I’m gonna be honest with you because i think a lot of people here are being to nice (sorry). Your sats and sat IIs aren’t that good. Also colleges usually look at uw gpa not weighted, so that’s very important.

UVA (dad went there, app would count as in-state) - High match

Dickinson - match

Franklin and Marshall - match

McGill - High match to small reach (25th percentile in sats is 1940, yours are low. But it has a really good acceptance rate)

Hamilton - reach (25th percentile in sats is 1300 out of 1600, yours are too low)

Colgate - high match (same as Hamilton + low acceptance rate)

Tufts (Mom went there) (25th percentile in sats is 2010) - small reach

Macalester - high match

Tulane - high match (it has a 27% acceptance rate and your sats are on the low end)

American - Match (50 percent acceptance rate and your sats are in the middle)

Grinnell - reach

Haverford - big reach (25th percentile sats are 1960, yours are on the low end)

Wesleyan - big reach. (same as haverford)

Brown - no shot at all, unless you cure cancer. Sorry but the 25th percentile sats are 1980, and it has a 14 percent acceptance rate.

Bates - small reach

Middlebury - Big reach.

I know sats aren’t everything, but if your sats are below a schools 25th percentile, I think the school is a reach, unless your grades are amaizng, which yours are not. What’s your unweighted GPA? that matters a lot.

Also i have no idea what 92jjxx is talking about, how is Wesleyan an “in” but American is a reach? American has a 53 percent acceptance rate, Wesleyan has a 27%. Wesleyans average sat is 200 points higher than Americans. Honestly, you should disregard him/her completely.

Tulane isn’t a safety since your scores are much lower than there average. (they also seem to be a very score oriented school from what I’ve heard.)

Your ecs are very good so write a lot about those, if you write really good essays that might make up for your sats ( also your sat IIs are terrible).
I think most colleges will think you have a really easy school or that your not a good test taker.

Also, rank is very important, what is yours?

I know this isn’t the answer you wanted, and I’m sorry.
