So I'm at a crossroads right now. I'm currently working for a consulting company but that's not what I want to do in the long term. I want to do engineering work/supply chain management for a company that would be making a positive difference.

I want to do manufacturing engineer roles (mainly process improvement) or supply chain management (more data driven stuff like forecasting). I have been offered a supplier quality engineer position but it's not something I want to do. However, I am considering it as I don't want to stay in my current company doing work completely unrelated to industrial engineering.

Should I take a job I'm not too crazy about or suck it up in my current job until I find a more appropriate match? I don't want to get pigeonholed in quality! I have been at my current company for almost a year now fyi.

Any advice is appreciated!
