<p>And yes Sally, there is always an aspect of age-ism in any professional organization. Having recruited staff under myself since I was 25, I have been a chief perpetrator of the same and have clearly biased searches against those older than myself. To a degree this is mitigated I would think in a second career where experience is lacking since most issues of unprofessionalism in reporting to those one's junior arise out of a false sense of superiority on the part of the employee. However, take my advice with a grain of salt. I am just a forty year old who knows diddly and will defer to my younger colleagues. :)</p>
