I been wondering about law school. How is it like. How about working in a firm is it cool..

Law school is worth it if:

You want to be a lawyer; and

You minimize the risk either by going to a good school or getting a good scholarship; or

You already have a job lined up.

I wouldn’t worry about what working is like until after you get into college. You’ll have plenty of summers to spend learning that for yourself.

Law school is horrible although I know of some who liked it. Personally, at the end of the day it worked for me as I eventually got into a job I really like and never would have gotten here without the JD. I have limited law firm work and liked it but the billable hour demands can make many miserable. many people in private practice put in VERY long hours and it affects them, their friends, and family. What you may want to do is some volunteer work at a law firm to get a better feel for what it would be like. if you can get a paid position, all the better but I am sure there are many firms who would be open to having a college student volunteer some hours. I am thinking a paid position would be a lot harder to find. if you could get in with a firm, the lawyers could give you first hand experiences which could only help you with this decision. I know when i was newly out of school, many lawyers gladly gave me a lot of solicited and unsolicited advice and most of it was very helpful.
