Well I don
t know if anything like this has been done before, but I searched first to be sure, and couldn
t find anything, so I hope nothing like this has been done before.

But anyhow, what college are you all planning on or hoping to go to and what job do you plan/hope to have? Let`s stay realistic here, and not write "Captain America". ;)
Me? Im hoping (Hoping is keyword here) to go to the Naval Academy and major in History or English and commission as a Marine Corps officer. If that doesnt work out, then Im hoping to get a NROTC Marine-Option scholarship to go to either Northwestern University or Virginia Tech and major in journalism. If THAT doesnt work out, then Id really like to go to Ohio University and study journalism (OU doesnt have NROTC program so thats why its not my top choice.)
I`ve got Plans A, B, and C already lined up! :)

Myself, I prey and plan to attend Cal In the fall, major in environmental policies. After college, i want to work at my local water treatment plant with policies. Eventually, I plan to get involved with our nations government and help create and regulate laws and policies with the American Pollution Control Corporation.

Well, here’s hopin’. I’m not really the kind of person to change my mind quickly, but I spend WAAAAAYYY too much time thinking about the pros and cons. Everyone tells me I have enough time to figure it out, my mother (who is kinda-sorta helping to pay for college a little) says no, you need to know so you don’t waste time.

I’m pretty confident with the teaching thing, though. n_n, I hope your mom likes her job!

I didn’t really see any mention of careers in teaching on the Air Force’s website so that’s a bit of a bummer.

I want to do ECE, not sure whether I want a more electrical or computer concentration, though.
As for schools, I’m praying for MIT. Considering pretty much everyone’s chances are low there, realistically I can see myself at either University of Maryland, Drexel, or Cornell. In all honesty, Maryland might be my top choice out of those three. Call me crazy. =P

Elleya, yes my mom does love her job. She actually went to college and majored in history and became a social worker, and after I was born, she became a stay at home mom. Then she decided to go back to school and get her Masters in education, and she
s been teaching for two years now and loves it. She says that for someone who wants to be a teacher, history is a great major (And it
s great you
re planning a double major), but at the time, she had no idea what to do, and regretted majoring in it. Everyone needs teachers, so it
s a good job. I think a lot of people going to college these days have no idea what they want to do their freshman year, so you`re one step ahead!
FastNeutrino, that`s pretty awesome. All good school. My Aunt went to Cornell and she liked it, I think. MIT is definitely one anyone has to really hope to get accepted to.

I would like to be a Marketing Analyst, but I really love writing and sports even more so I was thinking Sports Journalist, thing is idk if there’s exactly a job market for that, UT-Austin (Hook 'em!), UGA, Indiana, Louisville, and Vanderbilt are my top choices though without a doubt!

I hope to become an international lawyer or work for the United Nations, or something in a very similar field. Major in Political Science, minor in International Relations. Top choice is UChicago. Also looking at Rice, Georgetown, Vandy, Duke, and UPenn. Pretty high hopes…

That`s awesome! My science teacher went to UChicago for his Doctorate (I think he did something with Geology??) And he said he loved it.
My mom looked at Georgetown and UPenn. She said UPenn just wasnt for her and I dont know why she didnt apply to Georgetown. All excellent schools. If Georgetown had a journalism degree Id look at them. Love D.C, it`s where I was born.

International lawyer and U.N, that`s awesome!

School newspaper…well, this year, for Journalism 2, we start out by selling ads (Selling ads…Sigh) and writing smaller stories, and the higher the journalism class, then the more you
ll get to write for it. I
m aiming to become editor by Senior year. I also just write for fun. My big accomplishment in 8th grade was winning a writing contest. I really want to work for a big newspaper like the Washington Post one day and also write novels. :)

I’m definitely majoring in Biochemistry and I want to go to WUSTL, Rice, or Rhodes :). I really want to work somewhere in pediatric oncology, either as a research scientist, doctor, or physical therapist. My top choice is to be a doctor, but if I don’t want to go to med school, I’ll be a physical therapist ;D.

That`s cool. I definitely am not the type who loves science, like it (depending on the type) but definitely could not major in it, so I have to give you a round of applause for that! :)

There was a similar form a few months ago, but anyway…

I want to get a duel major in neuroscience and psychology while being on the pre-med track and go to Swarthmore (doubt I will get in though) and eventually be a pediatric neurologist.

I’m on the newspaper, too. We also have to sell ads; there’s even a chart with a sign reminding us of how much each of us is responsible for. I’m kind of like: “Hey, I pretty much brought in 75% of our money last year, can I skip this year?” Lol. It seems we always call the same places, the manger asks for information, and we never hear back. That’s cool about your contest win; what did you write about, if you don’t mind answering? And I had dreamed about working for the NY Times for a while, before I realized I could combine both of my passions into one career. Definitely one to look into, especially if you love NYC!

Yep, for a while I wanted to work for the Times, but I love D.C more. Of course, I`ll take either the Times or the Washington Post; both are great!
I wrote a historical fiction piece about a man who goes off to fight in Vietnam and how he struggles to come to terms with him killing and whatnot. It had to be based off of the Lake our town is near, so I wrote about him coming back and sort of being one with nature. Looking back, it sounds pretty dumb and while I think the idea is good, the actual writing isnt. Im actually surprised I won first place, but I think only 20 people entered or so. But it won me $100 and a spot in the local paper, so I`m not complaining!

I dont have it all figured out but I want to go to school to major in early childhood/ childhood education (debating special Ed) with a double major in sociology. I want to get my masters in Psychology and then I want to get a PhD in clinical psychology with a concentration in child psychology.
