I am wondering does anyone have the graduate acceptence rate for the MSIS program and MSF program at the Carey Business school. How is there reputation? Any information is appreciated. How many open slots do they have each year?

They should have this info online, no?
All I can say about Carey is that it is a new business school that takes a very dif approach from Wharton, etc.

Nope, I checked a couple of times. Would you consider it a Top Tier Business School? I believe Johns Hopkins has had a business program since the 60s. The Carey Business School was just started in 2007.

Its best to think of Carey as brand new–this academic year is the first full-time class. It is well funded and was created with the goal of being a top-tier business school in a relatively short time. But you can’t consider it top-tier yet–its too new. But I’m sure Hopkins would not have gone down this route if they weren’t convinced that they could succeed in having the new Global MBA program reach the heights of Hopkins’ other professional graduate programs.

Hopkins offered part-time business programs for a long time. Basically, they were continuing education type courses, mostly for people who worked in the area. They were very good for what they were, but they were never meant to compete with top tier full time MBA programs. The new full-time program is very different–and seems to be attracting top students from all over the world.

Excellent! Thank you for the information!
