Hey guys, I'm having trouble deciding between these two colleges. I've visited both and liked both campuses. Financial issues don't distinguish one from the other. So, here are the factors I'm looking at:

Carleton: I'll play football there, whole smaller atmosphere thing, would do Officer Candidate School instead of ROTC

Michigan: family lives 10 min from campus, prob no football, have ROTC

Any of your opinions would really help because at this point I'm thinking about a coin flip!

I disagree with DCS. Carleton and Michigan offer equal quality education. Carleton will probably offer better instruction to Freshmen and Sophomores, but Michigan will probably offer more options to Juniors and Seniors.

If you want a small campus environment and close interaction with professors from the start, go to Carleton. If you want a more varried academic environment and a larger set of options, go for Michigan. Both are awesome in their own way.

Of course, playing football at Carleton vs ROTC at Michigan is another thing to consider.
