Hi everyone so like the title says, I’m trying to decide between Michigan & Carleton. Both of the schools are gonna end up being the same price for me so please don’t factor tuition into the equation. I think I’m leaning towards Michigan because I’d like a bigger school & Ann Arbor is great but everyone I’ve talked to from Carleton has been so nice. I think my biggest reservation about Carleton is it’s tiny enrollment (2000 students) & it’s lack of a huge party scene because I definitely am into that type of thing. Are these big enough reasons to pick Michigan? Please let me know your thoughts/any insights! Thanks!
My son has to make the same choice: Michigan vs. Carleton. He’s been accepted at other schools but has narrowed down to these two, unless Vanderbilt calls from wait-list. I will be watching this post for insight into Carleton. I’m a umich grad and am advocating for Ann Arbor, but it’s his choice to make. Cost will be similar at each. Come on peeps, help these two kids out! Thanks ;^)

My younger daughter graduated from Carleton. Parties were not in short supply.
Which majors? Do you have other specific questions?
Are you looking for an event like 100k people jumping up and down at a stadium or lots of weekend events attended by a few hundreds?
