Down to these 2 colleges, and I'm having a really hard time deciding. Both gave relatively the same financial aid, so money is not the factor in this decision. What do you guys think?? i'm considering the biology program in both.

These are very different, but very good, schools. This decision boils down to you. Is national reputation important to you? Notre Dame is much more well-known. Do you like sports? If not, Carleton may be a better choice. Where do you want to live? Is proximity important? Finally, and perhaps most obviously, do you think you’d be happier at a liberal arts school or a university? Though ND is small and tries to emulate the liberal arts school experience for its undergraduates, it is still a university and is different in many ways from a liberal arts college. For example, at ND, you can do research with professors. At Carleton, this would be less accessible. If you’re interested in combining your studies with business or entrepreneurship, Notre Dame has the top ranked undergraduate business school in the United States. Is medical school an option? Notre Dame has one of the highest medical school acceptance rates in the nation. However, I work across the street from the medical school of my university and I know more than one Carl attends it, so Carleton isn’t exactly slacking in that department. In the interest of full disclosure, I attended Notre Dame, so that’s where I’m biased. I and everyone I know who graduated with me would choose it again in a heartbeat and never look back. Hopefully you can find a Carl’s opinion on this. On CC, it is often frustrating that people who have experience with only one school will attempt to slight another out of na
