Hello,
I’m currently in the college process and looking at Carleton. Carleton is the only school on my list that is outside of the east coast. I’m attempting to distinguish the major characteristics that make Carleton special/worth leaving the east coast for. From my perspective, Carleton has the academics of a Williams, Amherst, Midd, Swath, etc. However, not being located on the east coast does have its negatives. Do employers in Boston, NYC, Philly know the Carleton name? Furthermore, do Carleton graduates hold jobs in those cities— making a strong alumni network? I know the name resonates in people in the midwest, but I hope that employers know of Carleton’s elite status.
Thanks
