*** Carnegie Mellon Class of 2019 RD Discussion and Results Thread***

So Pittsburgh to suburban Boston in one day . . . @thoughtbubbles - Congratulations! Which school at CMU were you accepted into? And do they give you a decision on your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices, or just on one of your choices?

Am I still going get a package even if I did not apply FA?

Am I still going get a package even if I did not apply FA?

Accepted to CMU SCS & CIT!!

I’ll post my stats later.

did only poeple who got in get it in the mail today? also i didn’t apply fa…

others in my region who got in got shit but I haven’t :frowning:

Hmmm… I don’t think I will ever understand college admissions. According to the waitlist portal thingy I’ve been waitlisted from both SCS and MCS. To give some context I’ve received likely-notification and merit scholarships from JHU and Columbia engineering. Don’t get me wrong I’m not upset, just slightly confused haha.

What is this extra fa you guy are talking about?

Sorry about double posting. My internet is being stupid.

@stillwaitinghere There’s a promissory note and two other new documents that popped up in the FA box.

You mean in the box of required financial aid documents or in the financial aid button?

@steve829‌
Did you find out what W2 thingy means?

Good news today. Just got the text from my son . . . Fat envelope! Accepted @ Tepper & School of Humanities. WL @ SCS, which is fine since he loved CMU’s business professors.

For those interest, south-central PA via No. Ca.

Daughter got fat envelope today. We are in central NJ.

is the new fa document just the attestation thing And the waived taxed form?

Any School of Drama Fat Envelopes received?

Has anyone been accepted to their first choice and waitlisted for their second?

@stillwaitinghere It’s the Master Promissory Note, the Perkins Loan Promissory Note, and the Undergraduate Counseling thing.

For those wondering, I did not have the obscure FA messages on my CMU portal. Received Fat Letter in New Jersey.

@viphan

But did you apply for FA?

@viphan They are about loans, so maybe they only appear if you qualify for those loans and are no indicator of acceptance?
