@Viphan What exactly is Priority Wait List. I thought I read like 6 out of 5000 people offered wait list were eventually enrolled to CMU. Would the 6 be part of Priority Wait List - or is that something else?
@gavenb
I applied to CMU, got p-waitlisted, took a gap-year, and reapplied to be accepted yesterday.
@patertrium
I don’t know the statistics from/of the waitlist(s), but priority waitlists are considered first if there are any vacancies in the freshmen class.
Same. Rejected from UCB, Rice, UCLA, and Stanford in the last week (and waitlisted at UMich). Preparing to get rejected from Tufts and the Ivies next week as well. Georgia Tech is looking like a more and more likely destination by the second.
I applied to mostly safeties this year after taking a year off. Got rejected from Northwestern a few days ago and I’m a bit down. CMU is the only other slightly-possible dream school on my list. Hope I get in or else its Georgia Tech for me too. I’m grateful to have Georgia Tech as an option but, you know, its CMU. ):
Waitlisted at WUSTL, Northwestern, and Rice. At least I know I’m not getting waitlisted at CMU (checked it while that site was up). For once I’ll get a straightforward answer from a reach school! Good luck everyone!!
@Enthouse I’m in a very similar boat. I have NYU and UCSD as my current top choices, but CMU is indeed the only “at least a slightly possible” school left for me. Hope we get in!
@Hawkface I posted my reference from Niche.com. It could be that that data was from an earlier year or else it’s just bad data period. Thanks for posting more hopeful numbers directly from CMU.
