If privtes like boston university and northeastern gave me no financial aid, should i expect the same from carnegie in the chance that I get accepted?
@nisaka All financial aid letters, regardless if the applicant is ED or RD, are released in late March, usually a couple days following the RD decision release.
@LookAtThisNet Depending on your financial status, that may not be the case. Carnegie, like Boston and Northwestern, has its own nuances regarding aid distribution and scholarship awards. Look out for the financial aid letter soon after the RD decisions are released.
@MandomeLife oh, thank you!!! i’ve been worrying for nothing lol
Does anyone have the document “Attestations” in their financial aid portal? I have it as entered on 17-mar-2017. I think it means I will get in.
@barackhussein nothing changed for me
I don’t have it either! @JamesB007 (great username by the way)
@barackhussein My son has this listed as well with the same date. However I thought it was just that they finally posted to his account the financial aid signature that he submitted awhile back – it has taken a long time for things to show posted on the account. Did you sign something for financial aid awhile ago also? It was through the button that now says Financial Aid Notification (but currently goes to a page that says processing is not complete).
On my portal, it showed “attestations” received back in December, however, it just recently changed to March 17th
@figgie13 Actually just remembered it was there before, but with a different date. Did you sign the little thing they asked for in that button? I’m thinking that is it, but not sure why it shows a new date.
@figgie13 @momof3co @gershwinfan @barackhussein @JamesB007 Don’t worry about the changing date of that document – it constantly updates at arbitrary times. During my admissions cycle, it refreshed up to early Summer – way after my financial aid package had been finalized.
@momof3co Honestly, I do not remember. I’ve spent a lot of time on the phone and emailing with the financial aid office so I probably did somewhere in there. It probably doesn’t mean anything, but I’m hoping that it is a good sign!
Thank you @MandomeLife ! Do you think both admitted and rejected students will see those updates?
@momof3co I have not noticed a correlation.
I think decisions will be released Monday, or Tuesday at the latest.
What makes you say that? @nbt012
I also have attestations on March 17th. I’ve had it for a long time but it looks like the date changed for some reason.
One of my other financial documents also changed to March 17th… hoping that’s a good sign…
Does anyone NOT have any of their status dates changed to March 17th?
@math3matical trust the process
