Essays - Ok. I don't think it would stand out . . .
1st esssay: I talked of how I studied in India for four years (snd, 3rd, 4th and 5th) and came to America to study middle and high school.
I taked about how people, culture, everything was different, and how the Indian me and the American me never dissappeared, created a conglomerated figure . . . stuff like that

2nd Essay: Talked of my love for science and math through the ECs I do , nothing more to say here.

So, chance me!

well, someone who attended SAMS told me that the admission officers care more about your essays then your scores and grades. So if your essays don't stand out, then the program is probably a high reach. Other than that, the rest of your application looks good...

chance me please: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/457841-summer-academy-math-science-sams-ap-ea-carnegie-mellon.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/457841-summer-academy-math-science-sams-ap-ea-carnegie-mellon.html</a></p>

well, the essay does indicate my diversity, but I found a couple (three) gramaical errors (stupid me for not proofreading). Thats the problem . . . but should they accept "good students" anyway? I mean that was their motto right? what is the point in accepting excellent students when they say we want good students. I don't understand that.

bump bump bump

Also, im from CA and I am from a really low academic school. I am the only person applyinng here.

bump . . .

I would say your chances were pretty good if you were a URM, but if not, then it'll prolly be really tough for you to get in.

bump . . .

Oh my god even I applied to the program and my first essay was about my experience in a bording school in india..... what a coincidence!
